Text default highlight bug

I'm using Adobe PDF reader on my Macbook.

Architecture: arm64

Processor: Apple M3 Pro

Build: 23.8.20423.0

AGM: 7.1.3

CoolType: 9.0.2

JP2K: 4.0.1.53159

I have a default color set for highlighting text. If I highlight a certain text but switch the color for JUST THAT certain highlighted text, the DEFAULT highlight color itself changes! It's a very annoying issue that forces me to keep resetting the default color EVERYTIME I SWITCH THE COLOR FOR A CERTAIN TEXT! Please fix this bug!

Hi @Ayush34412726i97m

Hope you are doing well!

Right-click the text you want to highlight in Adobe Acrobat Reader and click "Highlight Text." Right-click the highlighted text again, then go to Properties > Appearance and select a highlight color. Uncheck "Make Properties Default" to change the default highlight color.

Hi @Serene_nature15C3

Thanks, I'm doing well. Hope you are too 🙂

This works but it forces me to do: Right Click > Properties > Appearance > Color every time I have to switch colors.

What I would like is to:

1. Select a default highlight color

2. Highlight some text

3. LEFT Click on the highlighted text and choose a color from the ones that pop-up next to the text.

4. Keep the same default highlight color as in STEP 1 , irrespective of what I chose in STEP 3.
