Text macros

I am looking for an Acrobat feature akin to the keyboard macro feature in Word; type the assigned combination and a pre-arranged word or phrase is entered into the document.  I would like to use this feature to add text to comments that have been added to a series of Acrobat documents.

Adobe says that the "text macros" feature exists in Acrobat but I'll be damned if I can find it, and if it exists, does it work?

Anyone else out there think that Adobe instructions suck?

As mentioned, there's no such feature in Acrobat, but from your description it sounds like it might be possible using a script. Do you basically want to add the same comment for each instance of a certain phrase in the file?

Hello @HRB3

I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out.

As our product community expert correctly mentioned, Adobe Acrobat does not currently support native text macros for comments in the same way Microsoft Word does.

Acrobat doesn't have "text macros".
