Question

The Compare Files feature of Acrobat Pro missing changes.

We use the Compare Files feature of Acrobat Pro to track text changes but have found that Acrobat is often missing changes made to white text. Does anyone have a solution or workaround? Changing text color is not an option. Thanks in advance.

Same issue here.

Change to document design / branding means some text has been changed from black to white.

When running 'Compare text only' all new white text displays 'Text Deleted'.

Hi @Kurt5FA0

The description above defines that it only misses the context when using White text color. Isn't it the situation with any other color?

To investigate further, please share the following details:

1- Any sample PDF file to test the same at our end.

2- Acrobat and OS version you are working with.

Meanwhile,

Navigate to Acrobat>Edit>Preferences>Security (Enhanced)>disable "Protected Mode at Start-up", "Protected View," and "Enhanced Security">OK>close and reopen Acrobat [For Windows only]

Note: these changes are only for testing purposes. Once tested, please change it back to the previous setting.

Thanks,

Akanchha

I'm running Acrobat Pro v2022.003.2028 on Big Sur. It seems the issue is specifially with white text. If I changed the color to 2% black (0/0/0/2) the edit was noted. The compare reports are attached.

I also tried using RGB 255/255/254 and the edit was recognized. It seems the issue is only with pure white.
