Hi @IsmailBL

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

Please go through the correct answer marked in the similar discussion https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/the-document-could-not-be-saved-a-file-i-o-error-... and see if that works for you.

When they open as save as on some files they will get this error,

They are saving to a file server (network drive)

Hi there

Would you mind sharing a small video recording of the steps user is following for more clarity?

Hi

Thanks for your help so far, Unfortunatley I can't share a video as such due to company policies,

Let me try to explain it better:

User scans from a printer to mail

Recieves email from printer of the scanned pdf

opens pdf via email

press file save as

tries file server and the below error occurs.

I have tried reinstallation and in adobe repair

Hi there

Please try to create the PDF as described in the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/scan-documents-pdf.html and see if that works.

My Acrobat 8.1 recently gave me an error when I tried to save a file, especially if I made a change to the file.  I figured out that I turned on "Controlled folder access" in my "Windows Security Ransomware Protection".  When I turned it off again, Acrobat returned to normal.
