There was an error opening this document. The file cannot be accessed by the system

I hve Adobe Acrobat Pro X. I have a shared Dropbox on 3 computers. On 2 of the 3 computers everything is working well. On one computer I am having issues opening some of the pdfs documents. The file is indicated as a PDF File but I cannot open it. The Adobe message is "There was an error opening this document. The file cannot be accessed by the system."  I checked the other computers for the same document. I am able to open the particular document on the other 2 computers. I am not sure of what the issue is.
