Thumbnails in File Explorer Windows 10

Hi, thanks in advance for any help you can give regarding this sudden change in viewing PDF thumbnails in File Explorer. Prior to a couple of days ago, I was able to view PDF thumbnails scrolling through File Explorer. I made no changes to any other settings or updates, but now when I try to view them, this is what I see:

I un-installed and re-installed Adobe Reader, checked the Adobe Reader Enable Preview Option, but nothing has corrected the issue.

Any suggestions?

Kathryn

Hi Kathyrn,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the trouble.

The screenshot above does not seem to be the preview pane. Please confirm if the window appears only when you select the PDF file from the list

As mentioned above, you have made some changes in the settings and updated the application.

Could you please let us know about the changes done at your end?

Share the Reader DC version number currently installed on the machine.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Hi Meenakshi,

Thank you for your reply. The version is 22.001.20088. I just now saw a tab for Repair Installation, clicked on it and it seems to be working now so I think it is ok for the moment.

Just FYI, I indicated I had not made any changes, which is why it was so strange. Here is a new screenshot showing the full screen:
