I like to print a a small poster in the size 14”x11”  on my 8.5”x11” printer.

i remember it could be done earlier using Acrobat and was called Tile Printing.

I'm not sure I understand. Does one need the full version of Adobe or is there a tool just for creating a document that can be printed as tiles that one can purchase?

But there's a step before that. When I go into a PDF, I can only get to 11x17 size, which is a tile of 2 pieces of paper. How do I make it a poster size 24x36 which I can then print in tiles?
