Too much with the online accounts

I used to like adobe acrobat reader but now I've stopped using it. The constant efforts to get me to sign into some sort of account is stupid. I shouldn't have to do this to, for example, rotate a PDF. Ludicrous if you ask me. So now I use another program to read and manipulate PDF files. If I ever contemplated buying the paid for version I'm certainly not going to do it now.

Hi @steve_6915,

Thank you for sharing your candid feedback regarding Adobe Reader's sign-in requirements. We understand that frequent prompts to log in can be disruptive, and we genuinely appreciate your perspective.

Signing in is necessary primarily because of Acrobat’s integration with Adobe’s online services. These services enable features such as cloud storage, cross-device synchronization, collaborative tools, and access to PDF and e-signature tools.  The free version of Acrobat Reader leverages these online capabilities, which require user authentication to function properly.

We recognize that this approach may not align with every user’s preferences, especially for those who primarily use Acrobat for offline tasks. Your feedback is invaluable, and we’re committed to exploring ways to make the user experience more seamless and less intrusive.

That said, we hear you. Your experience highlights an important perspective, especially for users who prefer a simpler, offline experience.

If you’d like to share your feedback directly with the product team, we encourage you to submit it through the Acrobat User Voice forum here: 🔗 https://adobe.ly/42o9Sds

Our product managers and engineers actively monitor this platform, which is a great way to influence future updates.

Thanks again for being part of the community. Your voice helps shape the future of Acrobat.
