Hi. I'm trying to convert a PDF to a PPT file. When I do this conversion though, the resulting PPT file is on a much longer page than how the PDF appears and about half of the length of the page is just empty white space (the page width appears fine).
I'm not sure how to set the page proportions correctly so that when I export the PDF, the PPT appears the correct correct width and length.
Could someone please advise? Thank you.

Hi there
Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described, the resulting PPT file is on a much longer page than how the PDF appears and about half of the length of the page is just empty white space.
- Would you mind sharing the steps you are doing to export the PDF to PPT?
- Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If its a file specific issue, please share the original source file and the exported PPT file with us for testing.
You may also try to export the PDF online using the link https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/acrobat/export-pdf

Hi Amal,
Thank you for the reply. For exporting the PDF, I go to File>Export To>Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation. In the Settings, I made sure that "Include Comments" was not checked. Then I hit Save.
All of the PDF conversions to PPT that I try seem to add extra blank vertical space, although not as much as this file does.
I unfortunately cannot share the original source file as the information is confidential.
I tried the online tool and it did the same thing.
Are there settings I should change in the PDF before exporting it?
Thank you.

Hi there
We are sorry to hear that. I have tried to reproduce the issue on my end and its working fine.
What is the version of the Adobe Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the latest version installed. Go to Help > Check for Updates and reboot the computer once.
Also, please share the screenshot of the exported document for a better understanding, as it would be difficult so say anything without looking at the file.
Regards
Amal

Actually, now that I think about it, the font makes sense as i'm on a different machine. So if the fonts aren't on this pc it makes sense that they wouldn't show up. But the page formatting is still strange.

Hi there
Hope you are doing well and sorry to keep you waiting.
If this issue still persists, please update the application to the recent version 23.02.20244, form the help menu > check for updates and reboot the computer once.
When you export PDFs to different file formats using the Export PDF tool in Acrobat, each file format includes unique conversion settings. To view the various formats to which you can export the PDF in Acrobat, see Tools > Export PDF. For more information go through the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/file-format-options-pdf-export.html and see if that works for you.
Hope this information will help
Regards
Amal
