I've tried several times to clear the signature & initials from the "Fill & Sign" but it will not clear when clicking the x. How do I remove the saved information?

Hello!

I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out.

Acrobat stores your last-used Signature and Initials so you can click “Sign” without re-creating them, but you can delete them:

  1. Open All Tools → Fill & Sign, then click the Sign button (pen icon).
  2. You’ll see your saved Signature(s) and Initial(s) listed. Hover over each one and click the ”–” (minus) icon next to it to delete, or the X icon.

Restart the app and check.

Are you on a Windows machine or a Mac, and what is the version? Please ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: 25.001.20474 (Win) | 25.001.20476 (Mac), Apr 28, 2025. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and try again.

You can also reset the app preferences to default. See this article for the steps: https://adobe.ly/3FoGFX8

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.
