Unable to combine file error too many pages 706 max 500

We are subscribed to adobe acrobot pro and uanble to combine file because of below issue

This is the limit of Acrobat Online. Try the Acrobat destop app.

There seems to be a hard limit to the merge ability.

The files are in no way protected?
