We are running Acrobat version 2023.003.20244 on an HP Pavilion x360, and are having issues editing pdf files that we've been using for months and months.
Specifically, we need to "disable new version" (I'm told) in order to fix the issues. I'm told we should click on the "three lines" menu at the top left when the application is open.
The trouble is, I don't see the "three lines" menu. It's just not there. I'm also told that I should be able to click on Help, and the drop-down menu will have a "disable new version" (or something like that) available.
Not the case. I don't see that, either.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Ok.
I am NO expert at this.
What we're experiencing is when editing a PDF, there are a few fields that require initials and a few more that require a signature.
Under this new version, we cant just chose the memo function as before and basically draw in the initials and signature.
I also have a digital signature that I used to just click the area where the signature is supposed to appear, choose the digital signature, and choose to "lock the document", and the PDF would not be able to be edited after that.
Using the new version initial and signature "tool" on one area causes the document to lock up so that additional initials and signatures cannot be applied.
Hope this makes sense.
I'll be happy to provide additional screenshots or whatever cuz we're stumped.

You need to install the premium features.
Go to 'Help' tab in your Acrobat Reader and choose 'Install premium features' from the drop-down menu.
Don't forget to be logged into your Adobe Acrobat DC Pro account.

Does you use Fill & Sign?

No.
We use Comment to create initials and signatures. Then, I use a digital signature to apply a signature that will also allow me to lock the PDF at the same time.
