Unable to print: The document could not be printed. An error occurred while printing the document

I'm unable to print from Acrobat re "The document could not be printed" and "An error occurred while printing the document."  I'm able to print to various copiers from other programs, i.e., office and outlook.. It appears that my issue is isolated to Acrobat.  I've up installed the latest updates, went throught the repair installation and restarted my computer. It doesn't matter what pdf I open it just errors out every time. additional steps taken were turning off protected view,  clicking on page set-up, and print as image.

 

Appreciate any assistance.

Could you please confirm if you open PDFs from a particular source or folder?

Are you able to print using the Print as Image option?

Please try creating a new test Word file and convert it to PDF. Then try to print it. Check if the error message still occurs.

 

To further investigate this issue, share the information asked below:

- Share the Acrobat and OS version numbers on the machine.

- Did you start experiencing this recently? 

- Any recent changes you may have made?

- Share the process logs via the steps suggested on the following help page: https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/acromonitor.html.

Thanks for reaching out. I'm running DC on Windows 10. It doesn't matter where I grabe the pdf from and I also saved a word file to a pdf and I still receive the same error.  The print as image does not resolve the problem either.  I had my work station upgraded to windows 10 a few weeks ago and the print function worked as normal and 5 days later I started to recieve the print error.

Thanks for reporting the issue to us. Could you please provide the following information to investigate the issue.

1. What is the version of Acrobat you are using at your end.You can check the version by going to Help > About Adobe Acrobat pro.
Also, please try again after reinstalling to the latest version.
2. Is the issue happening every time, or is it happening intermittently.
3. Is it happening with multiple machines or with one specific machine. Please confirm.
4. It will be great if you can provide a video of the issue that’s happening at your end.
