Unable to printing to PDF, error message stated license have expired or account not activated

I'm trying to print to PDF using adobe PDF, but there is an error message telling me that my account has expired or is not activated. I have spoken to an agent whom told me that my account is perpetual, so expiry is incorrect. The agent is unable to handle the query, but suggested to post the error message here, so that experts will be able to provide me with a link to reinstall, after i have performed cleaning.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described you are unable to print to Adobe PDF and getting the error 'License have expired or not been activated'

When you try to create a PDF using Adobe PDF Printer or the Convert to Adobe PDF (PDFMaker function) feature from various applications, you get this error.

Please try to end the acrotray.exe process using the task manager as described below and see if that helps:

  • Quit Acrobat if it's open.
  • Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete on your keyboard, and then click Task Manager.
  • On the Processes tab, click the AcroTray.exe process to highlight it.
  • Click End Task. You may see a warning message, click Yes to confirm.
  • Launch Acrobat.

If it still doesn't work please try the troubleshooting steps provided in the help page: Adobe Acrobat license has either expired or not been activated

Regards

Amal
