Unable to register Acrobat 20 using license key

I had Acrobat DC installed on company laptop - the company purchased licenses for Acrobat 20. Acrobat DC was uninstalled and Acrobat 20 installed but I cannot register using my Adobe account and license provided. I get an error "Something went wrong" - not very helpful. Others have been successful. Not sure if this is the best place to post this but is a last resort, thanks in advance
