Unable to use MS Office 365 Acrobat Plug In: Error Message: "An error occurred while initializing the PDF library"

I'm using Acrobat DC Pro (2015 Release) and cannot use the OFFICE 365 plug ins.  The following error appears:  "An error occurred while initializing the PDF library"

Here's what I've done so far with no improvement:

1) Full uninstall & reinstall of Adobe Acrobat DC (twice)
2) Registry edits as per the Adobe Help pages (no impact)
3) Confirmed MS Office plug-ins are activated

So, not sure why this continues not to work.   Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Herb...

Hi Herb,

As per the issue description mentioned above, you are unable to use Office 365 Acrobat plugin, is that correct?

Could you confirm if you are referring to Acrobat Plug in MS office for ex as seen in the screenshot below?

Also, let us know dot version of Acrobat and the operating system installed on the machine? You may refer to the steps given in this link on how to check the version: Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

Also, rebooting the machine if you haven't already and check if that helps. If that doesn't work, check if an update is available for Acrobat using "Check for updates" option under "Help" menu, reboot the machine after installing update and try again. You may also download from here: Adobe software and product updates

Let us know if you need any help.

I have the exact same problem as described by herbgo - I've followed the suggested steps (updates, reboots, etc.), and they do not resolve the problem. I can confirm that the issue is being unable to use the Office 365 Acrobat plugin (as in the Shivam's attached image); tested in both PowerPoint and Word.

My Acrobat version is Acrobat Pro 2017 (17.011.30096). Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Hi Thomasc,

Could you confirm if you are getting above mentioned error " when trying to use one of the options under Acrobat tab?

Try converting a sample word file using "Convert to PDF" option in Windows Explorer ( if using Windows ) and see if that works.

Select one of the .doc file > right-click > Convert to Adobe PDF.

Also, try printing the word file to pdf using "Adobe PDF printer" using File > Print and check. You may refer to this help doc for the same: Using the Adobe PDF printer, Acrobat

If that doesn't work, try repairing Acrobat using "Repair installation" option under Help menu, reboot the machine after repair and check.

Let us know if you need any help.
