Unfortunate change of the business model of Adobe
Hopefully someone from Adobe management read this forum (and will read this post).
I think that Adobe now following a bad for the customers though likely profitable for Adobe trend:
a subscription only bussines model. I paid for the commercial product and for the upgrades for several years. A few years ago Adobe decided that the only way to have their working product is to enroll in the subscribtion. My answer is big NO this idea. Firstly I would like to have a product working in perptutity , and if, by any reason, I can't/don't want to pay anymore or happen to be offline the product must remain fully functional. Secodnly in the world of ever changing rules I don't want the product to be upgraded the way I don't like and for this I am only willing to trust what I see at the particular moment and right infront of me : the current realease, if something сhanges the way I don't want I want to use what I liked.
So, I stopped paying to Adobe and found alternatives.
Fortunately Adobe products do have have competitors.
P.S. Before this new trend Adobe did have options to write and
talk to their customer support directly.
Not anymore.
