Updating pdf's without losing links...

A supervisor here at work has 27 files, all done in EXCEL. He saved each one as a pdf, then passed it along to me to add one button (close).  Two weeks from now, the original EXCEL files will be updated and again saved as pdf's with the same filenames as before (overwriting the originals) which means I will again have to go in and add buttons.  This will happen every two weeks, which is going to be a pain in the butt.

So, my question: Is there a way to overwrite a pdf file that contains a button without losing that button?

I think I know the answer is going to be "no", but I needed to ask anyway.

Thanks!

Yes. Open the old file and run the Replace Pages command. Then select the new file and replace all the pages of the old files with the new ones. This will keep the form fields, comments and links you already added in place. If the layout changed you will need to adjust their locations, but you won't have to create everything from scratch each time.
