Visio: Acrobat PDFMaker 'Retain some Layers in the selected page' greyed out

I am trying to export a visio file with layers to pdf, using the Adobe add-in in Visio I have 3 options to export:

1. Flatten all layers

2. Retain all layers

3. Retain some layers in the selected page

1 and 2 are selectable but 3 is greyed out and I can't figure out why

I was trying to work this one out myself and found a reference Doc here https://helpx.adobe.com/pdf/acrobat_reference.pdf

Essentially you need to go back out to the Preferences button in the ACROBAT Ribbon and deselect the option "Convert all pages in drawing". When I did this, the option became available

Presumably the interface can only handle dealing with one page worth of layers at a time.
