want to print a custom paper size but it defaults to A4?

Hello, I want to print a custom paper size in acrobat (125mm x 250mm) but every time I try to set up it defaults to A4?

I have pressed "choose paper source by pdf page size", going to page setup and choosing custom size. but it still defaults to A4.

went to properties, tried to set the sizes their but didn't seem to like it and kept defaulting to A4?

I have set the paper size on the actually printer (bizhub c452) and it seems fine with it.

I am guessing I am missing something? but what?

Have looked on the support but all it says is to scale or you can print to custom sizes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you want to print from Acrobat to a physical printer? You need to choose one of the paper sizes your printer offers.

If however you want to print from an Application to Adobe PDF printer, you may choose any "paper" size possible. If your application is Word, please not that Word has a very sticky manner to force paper size to what Word things is your size.

Yes I do want to print to a printer. On the machine it self I can make a custom size. The pdf is the size I need (125mm x 250mm). I select the printer bizhub c452, selected  "choose paper source by pdf page size" but when you go to page set up their is custom size, but if I select it, it just defaults to A4.

I can send a custom size to the printer and the printer tries to use that size:

...even that the driver stays with A4:

The printer refuses to print my custom print as long as I do not give an indication what paper source he should use.
