"Adobe" means either a Californian river, a dried clay brick, or a multinational company that publishes software.

"Adobe Acrobat" is a generic term for:

Acrobat Reader (free).

Acrobat Pro (not free).

Acrobat Standard (not free).

Adobe is the company.  Reader is a product made by the company.  Acrobat Pro is also a product that is made by the company Adobe.  There are MANY people that don't quite get this.  I've seen job openings posted that list Adobe as a software skill required!

I hope this helps!
