My adobe acrobat pro updated today and I am extremely annoyed with this new highlighter feature. We have to constantly highlight important information on a document and the bold yellow color would never lighten the color of the actual text that I am highlighting on the document; if anything it would enhance it. Now with this update I see that the letters on the document have a hint of grey to them as opposed to their black color and it's quite annoying. Is there any way that we can get this feature back? I have tried changing the opacity but the dark I go the more the letters get erased. There should be a transparency option along with the opacity. Can someone please help!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much, if it helps I notice that this happens a lot with images that I screenshot and not the ones that I download. Hope that helps! 🙂

Yes, I do a lot of highlighting on scanned reports and it is exactly what Carrie mentioned. Was fine for the last 3 years but now the highlight blots out the underlying words on scanned documents. Same as Carrie, no issue on non-scanned PDFs. A fix would be greatly appreciated.

We have released an optional update that addresses this issue.
Please update the application and check if you still experience the same behavior. In the application, go to Help > Check for updates.
