I have a user that was trying to print to pdf from office 365(excel).  and it did not work and caused

a reboot fixed it, but would rather not have to do that.  what can I do to prevent this moving forward

You probably need to look at the thing that did not work. What exactly happened? Also, recommend the user use the Acrobat ribbon in Word and Excel, much better results than print to PDF.
