When I export from Acrobat Pro into word the formatting is nuts.

I'm working on a mac studio pro with a silicon chip Running Sonoma.

I have tons of memory.

I'm using Acrobat Pro to export a scanned PDF into Word.

The documents I'm working with are all about three thousand words.

I make the Acrobat doc editable with OCR. It is an editable searchable document.

Then I use the option to export into Word 2024 16.87

When I open the Word document it hangs. I get the spinning beachball.

When the beachball stops, I try to select a word or scroll down, here comes the beachball.

If I open the Word doc in Pages, I don't get a beachball, but there are glaring formatting errors.

there's a paragraph return on every line.

There are tab stops in the middle of sentences.

Is there any way to import a PDF into Word without it hanging like that?

Is there anyway to import a PDF into any text editing app without crazy formatting errors?

Hi, @straightlife, did you do the scanning followed by the OCR? Can you share a page of the document?

Thanks
