I am wondering why we are now being limited in Acrobat? Where did the Edit PDF tool go to?
Why are all the files opening in Acrobat Reader? Where did Acrobat Pro go to?!?!?! This is insane!

I spoke with Adobe Support. Sometimes they insatll Reader. What you do to resolve the issue:

It's the same application now. If you have a valid subscription for Acrobat, and are logged-in to that account, it should automatically switch to it when you open the application. Otherwise, it defaults to working as Reader.

I have a full subscription paid for by the company I work for and yet, the Edit PDF tool is unavailable. Defaults to opening Acrobat Redaer. Is Acrobat Pro now a seperate paid for item? What's going on?

A full subscription for what, exactly?

Adobe CC. I see that Adobe wants you to pay another subscription to get Acrobat Pro. Is this corrct?

If you mean the All Apps plan, then it includes Acrobat, too. Did you install it via the CC app?

Same problem here, I have the full subscription and I'm used to working on my pdfs in Acrobat Pro. Now, it opens Acrobat Reader and my tools are still there but lead me to an online version of my tools. Why on earth do I need to work in the online cloud just to exchange some pages, save my pdf in the cloud, download and save it on my local PC again. Disappointing user Experience, wasting of my time and energy + the energy to power server systems that operate adobe cloud, with absolutely zero need.
I don't understand what's the point of it.
Is there any way to get my Acrobat Pro back?

I have exacly the same problem. It seems that Adobe is having some kind of serverside issues with this move?

I also have Acrobat Pro as part of my plan, but now I only get Acrobat Reader in my computer. Even with the web based tools, which don't work for large files, I don't have many of the functions that I had with Acrobat Pro.
I am not paying a subscription for this!

This happened to me as well. Turns out there was a feature under the hamburger menu in the upper left-hand corner that allowed me to "Disable new Acrobat." I selected it and got my old Pro version back.
