While trying to open from the recent or starred documents I get an error message "There was an error opening this document. A file error has occurred.

Thanks for responding. I did all the troubleshooting you suggested and I still get the same error message.

When I open the file from windows explorer, it opens without problem. I then proceed to star it and the app puts it in the Starred list and recent ones. However, when I try to open from the starred or recent lists I get the error.

I put a screen shot of the version I have installed. This is a company computer so I don't now how can I update if this is not the most current version

Hello Amal, I tried opening the starred and recent files on my personal computer and could open them without problems. The strange thing is that I have been using it on my work computer connected through a VPN for months without problems and suddenly started having issues opening the starred and recent files. 

What do you think is the problem with my work computer?
