White boarder around PDF
This is an issue, that has to do with CorelDraw and PDF. Since Corel support claims, that it is not Corel dependable, but rather an issue that depends on Adobe (Acrobat), I make this post here.
You know, that when a document is designed and prepared for printing with any graphic design software, it will, at the final end, be published, saved as/ or exported as PDF (prepress) and sent for printing. That is because PDF saves all the features and when sent to a printing company and opened, it is just as it was designed. And that is, basically no matter what software is used opening the pdf, as I understand. Or, should be.
Enclosed you will find a picture on a CDR document. As you see, the picture is filling the whole page. When published for PDF (prepress, see pdf.jpg) there is suddenly white space when opening the file. Hence it cannot be printed the photo filling the whole space. When I sent it to a printing company they said, that there is a white space.
I know, that normal office printers always leave the white space. But now there is question of professional printing.
And the white space is there no matter if opened with Adobe Reader, Adobe Acrobat or a third party reader.
I am aware of that different programs handle files differently. But the standard is, or has so far been, that a pdf should be the same as was the original file no matter was it Corel, Illustrator or whatever.
There was some posts that related this topic, but I did not find them applicable.
