White/clear fillable form background

The default color for the fields on a fillable form is blue. Is there a way to set a different color or make them clear?

I know this conversation is old, but just wondering, is there a way to ensure that users viewing on other computers will not have the blue background?

Yes. These settings can be found under Edit - Preferences - Forms:

That's where I started and when it didn't change anything I thought maybe there was something I was missing. I have both of those fields set to "white" and it's still generating blue backgrounds.

Why not simply disable it entirely?
