why auto group text labels ?

I'm creating a simple form with text fields, drop-downs and have put plain text labels next to each field.  Adobe DC Pro has now grouped several of the text fields together making it very difficult to move a text field and only that label.  Help!!

If you want to keep them separate you can't use static text. Use form fields (or comments) and set them as read-only.

This is a feature of Adobe Acrobat DC.

To make a simple form, please tell me this is not true........  I have spent over 2 hours making a simple form.  This software seems overly complicated.  Why can't you make simple text that does not group?  Also, if you underline a letter in your text and the system groups it together, the underline them becomes a separate graphic on the page!

Acrobat is not an authoring tool. This is a common misconception.

You need to author your document in something like Word or InDesign, then convert it to PDF and add the form fields to it using Acrobat. Keep a copy of the original file in case you want to make changes to the underlying contents later on!
