I have figures alternate text errors. When I fix them and check the accessibility again they are fixed but then show up as nested alternate text errors. If I remove the alternate text from those erros are fixed and they become figures alternate text errors again. I fon't have any <Figures> nested instead of other <Figures> tags. I just have a single element inside of each <Figures> tag. See attached image. Anyone have any advice?

Hi @Robert22807377ok2z ,
Sorry for the delayed response. And thank you for reaching out.
When addressing accessibility issues in PDFs, it’s common to encounter errors related to alternate text for figures. Specifically, after adding alternate text to a figure to resolve a “Figures Alternate Text” error, you might subsequently encounter a “Nested Alternate Text” error. This typically occurs due to the structural hierarchy within the PDF.
I am assuming:
1. Grouped Elements: If a figure is part of a grouped object, and both the group and the individual figure have alternate text, this can result in a nesting conflict.
2. Nested Tags with Alternate Text: Alternate text applied to parent tags containing child elements (like figures) with their own alternate text can cause this error.
You may try the following:
To resolve the “Nested Alternate Text” error:
1. Identify the Nested Element:
2. Remove Redundant Alternate Text:
3. Ensure Proper Tagging Structure:
Hope this help to rectify this problem with the PDF
