Question

Why my PDFs files runs better in Chrome then Acrobat?

Is that, I´m trying to open 30 MB PDF map files in Adobe Acrobat Reader 23.008.20555 and freezes when I zoom in at 100%. In Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome I can zoom in to 500% without any problem, moves smoothly. I've tried in a laptop with processor AMD Ryzen 3 5400U with Radeon Graphics, but also in a PC with processor Intel Core i7-10700 with Radeon RX 550X graphic card, with the same results.

With previous versions of Acrobat, I remember that I used to open PDF map files larger than 50 MB in Adobe Acrobat Reader and I could move smoothly even at 1600% zoom.

Is there a setting I can use to improve the experience?

I have a very similar issue with our plan set.  It is a larger file 85mb~....I used to use Acrobat to edit, view and arrange pages with the full document open.  I cannot use it at all anymore as a single file and have difficulty zooming and scrolling even a single page as you describe.  Edits in text take 30 second to appear.

Currently using Chrome to view whole document with no issues, wish I could edit whit Chrome too!

😕😕

I have no issue with the zoom function. However, I know (by experience) that the computer configuration can slow down certain programs.
