Having a problem with a brand new windows 10 pro 64 bit machine.
Have tried suggestions in other threads, including disabling antivirus and erasing all previous attempts to install Acrobat DC Standard. Made sure I have successfully downloaded the installer using more than one machine in the event that I wasn't getting a full, uncorrupted download and only this new machine has the install issue.
Machine has plenty of drive space, and have tried installing under 2 different full Admin accounts with same results.
Error I am getting is "A problem occurred extracting some files. Check available space on your computer and the write privileges on the destination folder"
The error occurs no matter where I have the installer extract on the C: drive, and I have full control / rights to all of the folders.
Can anyone offer a solution?
Thank you!

Thanks again for ALL of your time and incredible info to help resolve our issue.
Indeed my first support person from Adobe had downloaded the wrong installer if you can believe that, a second round with Adobe support got the right installer to install finally and the proper serial number I had directly from Adobe worked when the proper installer was tried by Adobe support after resolving install issue.
I believe they used a,legacy / slightly older installer to get it to finally install, something I could not find on my own.
Again thanks for all of your time and efforts and info!

empty all your temp folders and retry running as admin.
if that fails, retry downloading with a different browser. if you've used more than 1 browser type in your efforts, you can skip this stop.
if that fails, using a browser that allows popups and cookies, contact adobe support during pst business hours by clicking here and, when available, click 'still need help', https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html

Thanks for your reply, have emptied temp folders repeatedly and used 3 different browsers and 4 different machines on the download - will contact support and thank you again!

FYI followed the link and clicked still need help, maybe I am missing something but it looks like there isn't any phone support or way to contact Adobe directly for help, just the forums.

are you in the usa?
what happened after clicking still need help?

In the usa, clicked the link as suggested, selected product acrobat dc, and installation topic, then clicked still need help, and the only option offered is Adobe forums where I think I am already, phone support listed as not an option and no email support option is offered so I am stuck.

do you see the chat option?

Did NOT have the chat option! Weird!
My supplier was kind enough to get me a support phone number and someone from Adobe worked with me and got me the off line installer which finally worked. Last issue is it now tells me the serial number is wrong but will get that sorted out.
Thanks for all of the help, sorry I could not answer sooner as the forum was inaccessible for a while.

i saw the forum issue. that was on adobe.
if you're seeing an invalid serial number error,
assuming you're using a valid adobe serial number (6 groups of 4 numbers), you have a mismatch between your installation file and serial number. ie, you can have a valid serial number, but if it's for program A and your installation file is for program B, you will see an invalid serial number message.
common mismatches are language/region (eg, serial number is for western europe and installation file is eastern europe), platform (eg, serial number is for a mac and installation file is win), license type (eg, education vs enterprise vs individual).
and one of the most common is using a program installation file with a suite's serial number. eg, using a cs6 suite serial number with a photoshop cs6 installation file. that won't work even though photoshop is included in that suite. you must use the suite's installation file (and you can choose to only install one program from the suite).
here's official info about that error, http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-serial-number-valid-product.html

I have tried all of what is suggested as I am experiencing the same error re "space / admin rights" both of which are fine and have no issues in general or with other programs.
Only contact option is via forums.
Error still persists. Initially tried downloading a trial version of creative cloud then in frustration at days of errors, decided to just download Acrobat Reader (there was no option I found to download a full version of Acrobat either).
Seems the issue with Windows 10 persists. Any help is appreciated.
