Windows Explorer right click > Combine files suddenly not working...

Windows Explorer, select multiple files then right click > Combine files

Suddenly not working with either combine ionto single file or portfolio.

Open Acrobat but does not show the files.

If I leave Acrobat open and do it again, it will allow me to combine them.

Windows 10, Enterprise

version 1909, OS build 18363.1916

Acrobat Pro DC

Continuous release version 2021.007.20099

Core version 21.1792

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer locally and then try again.

What is the version of the OS and the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 24.02.20857 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

As you are combining the files, would you mind sharing the file format that you are using to create PDF?

What happens when you click on Combine to PDF option from the right-click option? Do you receive any error messages?

It would be helpful if you can share some screenshots or the video of the issue occurring at your end.

Select two pdf files in Windows Explorer.
Right click > Combine files.
Acrobat opens to the list of recent files.
No messages or errors.

If yes, please share the current Acrobat version on the machine. Ensure that you are using the latest version of the application.
