Thanks, great

but can you tell us What is your time frame to fix this issue?

as we are about to upgrade to latest version of adobe

and Is there is any probability to detect this kind of document to choose proper option before compare ?

Hi,

Ideally, you should not have faced any issue here and without adding any new setting get good compare results. As told before, I have already raised it with engineering team and it is in our backlog, so cannot commit on the time frame.

Thanks,

Charu Karwa

Hi,

Thanks for reporting the issue here.

After having a look at compare reports you shared, I found that compare mode is not getting selected properly for your files, you can do that explicitly in compare settings.

  1. Select files to compare
  2. Choose settings on compare home page
  3. In document description choose scanned documents option
  4. Now press Ok and compare

More details about compare usage: Compare two versions of a PDF file in Adobe Acrobat

This should give proper compare results, meanwhile I have raised issue around why we were not able to detect the differences in other modes.

Do let me know if you need more help here. Sorry for the trouble.

Thanks,

Charu Karwa

thanks for you reply

but these PDF documents are searchable

and if we choose scanned documents option the report result will not include data changed as normal

also if there is no other solution how can we detect these PDFs styles to choose proper option ?

and Is this mean Autodetect option cannot detect style correctly ?

Hi,

You correctly pointed out that choosing scanned document option is not the best way out. Another way out here is, you continue to go via auto detect route and select text-only checkbox, this will give you results but only text differences (image differences will not be captured).

Ideally, auto detect should have detected the mode and give proper results without choosing any setting, I have already raised issue around this which might get fixed in one of the future releases, till then please use workaround suggested above.

Thanks,

Charu Karwa
