110 error in Acrobat Reader DC

New Here ,
Oct 23, 2024 Oct 23, 2024

Hi,

We have some software written in Go (including the FDPF library) that generates PDFs.

This usually works well, but not for the file attached to this message.

It can be opened in Firefox, evince and Chromium, but not in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.

The used template (feeded into the software) already contained some texts, but they were outlined as objects.

Properties of the template:

Please find the template also attached to this post.

Properties of the resulting pdf:

martin_5528_1-1729680503703.png

Exact error message when opening this file:

There was an error processing a page. There was a problem reading this document (110):

martin_5528_2-1729681017055.png

Can someone maybe see where the problem lies?

Please let me know if you need more info to help to clarify this issue.

Thanks in favor!

Our designer somehow "flattened" the (top to bottom) gradient in the background of the template in Adobe Illustrator (I don't know the details) and that resolved the problem. It would nice with a more descriptful error message though :-).
