A repackaged unauthorised Adobe Reader 9 is available at filehippo.com - Where do I report it?

A repackaged unauthorised Adobe Reader 9 is available at filehippo.com. It's by someone called 'Shark007', and I'm assuming it's completely unauthorised by Adobe, since it's a very old v9.0 (not even 9.5), with installer and who knows what else added by 'Shark007'.

Looking at search results for Adobe Reader at filehippo.com, you can see that the only thing distinguishing it from the legit fully-Adobe product is the author.

... and it's the same on the program page on filehippo.com:

Somewhere on that page it's also referred to as 'Adobe Reader Lite'.

Since the installer contains such an old version of Adobe Reader (which I checked by downloading and unpacking the installer), and based on the filehippo pages, I'd say it's completely unauthorised, which IMO would be both a clear breach of Adobe's intellectual property, and is dangerous to unskilled users. Even if the product contains no malware (and we don't know, it seems like FileHippo don't make much effort to check anything), it's a very old hence by now very insecure version of Adobe Reader, which is not made clear at all on the filehippo.com page.

Filhippo.com is a large very popular long established website, and they should know better. I emailed them last night (reprised below), but no reply. So where do I report this? e.g. Give me a contact for Adobe's legal team.

The following is what I emailed to filehippo.com last night:

  • A so called 'Adobe Reader' with the installer not made by Adobe, and presumably not distributed with their approval? From a small 'author' who doesn't even list this program at their rather hacker-looking website? Containing an ancient, early version of the very old Adobe Reader (v9.0), and whatever else 'Shark007' (a real trust-inspiring name) has added to it (no one knows)?
  • All this when a more recent, more secure version of Adobe Reader 9 is available *free* from the Adobe website. And the *way* more recent, *way* more secure *also free* Adobe reader DC is available from them too. In a Classic Track version without a lot of the gumph in their Continuous Track version, too (though only the Continuous Track version gets frequent security updates).
  • FileHippo management, did you know that only *major* virus variants are detected by virus checkers? FILEHIPPO MANAGEMENT, WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING IN ALLOWING THIS SOFTWARE TO BE DISTRIBUTED BY YOU AT ALL????????????? I'll be reporting this to Adobe shortly, I suggest you take this page down before the Adobe legal department forces you to.

That is quite shocking. I won't be surprised if it's loaded with malware or viruses.

You can report it here: https://www.adobe.com/genuine.html
