Acrobat Reader

we use self host nextcloud with libresign on openssl. the certificate include crl path pass on curl and also use freetsa. all openssl and freetsa pem/crt import to reader trust store and also no error find on certificate detail. whatever we test only LTV is show not enable and all other status work fine. I have question does reader/freetsa support self host openssl or is that force to use DSS?  

PRIOR TO A FEW DAYS AGO (APPROX) I WAS ABLE TO USE THE HIGHLIGHTER WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS. AFTER THE RECENT UPDATE (2026.002.21901) THE HIGHLIGHTER NO LONGER WORKS. I’VE VERIFIED THE OPACITY IS SET TO 0% AND THE COLOR SELECTED IS NOT WHITE.THE HIGHLIGHTER ACTS THE SAME AS BEFORE; IT JUST NO LONGER HIGHLIGHTS (SEE ATTACHED).I USE THIS TOOL EVERYDAY - ALL DAY AND THIS IS REALLY AN ISSUE.ISSUES WITH THE LINE TOOLS MENTIONED IN MULTIPLE POSTS ALSO STARTED AROUND THE SAME TIME. I’VE BEEN ABLE TO WORKAROUND THIS BY DISABLING PROTECTED MODE.ANYONE HAVING THE SAME TROUBLE WITH THE HIGHLIGHTER?  ANY WAY TO FIX THIS? PLEASE EXCUSE THE CAPS, IT’S JUST EASIER ON MY COMPUTER.THANKS FOR ANY HELP POSSIBLE.

I only need and have Acrobat Reader but everytime I open a PDF a pop up opens asking me if I want to:a. start free trial and pay later or buy immediatelyb. quit I don't need or want the fancy paid package.

In the Adobe app edit mode，I cannot draw the patterns such as boxes, circles and so  so on.it is so uncovient and pleasse solve this problem

Running macOS Sequoia 15.7.9 and Acrobat Pro v. 2026.002.21901I am proofreading chapters of a book and absolutely, positively DO NOT want to edit the PDF. Yet Acrobat keeps throwing “Edit PDF?” pop-ups at me that I dismiss, only to see them reappear a few minutes later. It’s distracting and annoying. How do I shut them off entirely?It irks me that Adobe assumes its users (in Pro? seriously?) don’t know what they want to do. If I wanted to edit the PDF, I’d be editing the PDF. Show it once? That I understand. Repeatedly? NO. Trust your customer to know what they intend to do.

I am trying to get Adobe reader 32-bit installed on an ARM laptop but am continually running into errors. When attempting the online installer, Reader_en_install.exe, I will get an error message that a newer version is already installed. When attempting the offline installer, AcroRdrDC2600221901_en_US.exe, I am getting a message that the application cannot be installed on my operating system. The errors persist after a full reset of Windows and attempting the install as the very first step after completing the initial out of box setup. When reviewing the install log, the very first line states This application cannot be installed on this operating system (Windows 8.1 64-bit). Setup will now terminate. Please refer to the minimum system requirements at http://www.adobe.com/go/reader_system_reqs. The laptop is on Windows 11 24H2 and all reg keys, cmd commands and PowerShell commands report this. I want to prevent Adobe from automatically opening PDF files I download from Microsoft Edge.  The suggested solution is to use CTRL+K to open Preferences and then uncheck the box titled  “Always open PDFs downloaded from the web”.  However, the screenshot below shows that this option does not exist for me at all.  Please help. 

Margins are too wide when printing a booklet, causing the font size to be too small.  How do I adust?  The margin setting seems to be greyed out.thanksJB

I have a dual-monitor setup and like to keep my primary monitor on the left and secondary on the right.  While I have the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC application open on the secondary monitor, I also have my Explorer window open to list file contents and double-click the pdf files to open.  If I close all open pdf documents and re-open one, it will retain the same position on my secondary monitor.  If I open any additional documents, it appears to relaunch Reader over on my primary monitor.  Every time.  If I close Reader on my secondary monitor and then relaunch a previously viewed document, it will display at the last position on my secondary monitor where I closed it, but then back to primary monitor for every document in addition to the first, regardless of whether I had previously viewed and closed it on the secondary monitor. This is incredibly frustrating and I've looked through all of the various preferences, but do not see anything related to this.&nb

I recently updated from version 26.001.21677 to version 26.001.21771. Previously I was able to print documents with mixed size papers without issue (mixed 8.5x11 and 8.5x14). Now using version 26.001.21771 I am no longer able to print these documents. I get an error message saying can not print the document, please visit the help page. I have tried this using multiple different printers and still get the same error, please advise.

I have a rather old MacBookAir running the latest macOS 12 w/ Adobe Acrobat Reader installed:Since a few days, trying to update (via the “Help” menu) fails with an error, so I decided to simply re-install it.  Therefore, I downloaded the installation dmg, but running it fails withThe box is running 12.x… Any idea what goes wrong here?

I cannot create a PDF from scanner. I think it may be related to the latest MAC OS upgrade to 26.5.1 I get the first screen where I can select a scanner. I have a Brother and an HP scanner. Selecting either one gives the same result. When I click the Scan button a new window is opened but it is grayed out. It is blank except the Hide Detail, Overview and Scan (all grayed out)

Adobe Reader (pro) constantly asks questions in blue boxes such as asking me to enable extensions in Chrome (even if they are enabled). I never want to see any of these boxes ever again. In preferences I have “Don’t show messages while viewing a document” checked and “Show me messages when I launch Adobe Acrobat” unchecked. I don’t know if Adobe gets more “points” for documents being opened in a browser but there are plenty of quirks in the browser experience to have the app be preferable. You should let us prefer the app and not advertise your Chrome extension all day.

Hello, My organization has a use case where we need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Acrobat Standard installed simultaneously for certain users. It looks like as of Reader/Acrobat 26.001.21651, the Print dialog in Reader does not display the list of software printers correctly. For example, the Microsoft Print to PDF option prints to a different printer when selected, and shows that other printer’s properties when Properties is clicked. This is the case for all software printers in the list. Physical printers on our print server appear to be unaffected. I did a capture with ProcMon, and it looks like what is happening is Reader is enumerating all of the printers the user has available, but does not list the Adobe PDF Converter that is installed along with Acrobat (it shows up as “Adobe PDF” in the Windows registry and the Procmon log). However, I think although when it filters the name of this printer, it isn’t removing its properties, so those properties ‘roll over’ to the next

I have installed Adobe acrobat reader on my Mac. When no PDF files are open, I see it automatically opens a “welcome” screen, the default page being the Recent tab. This tab contains advertisements which I don’t like so I would like to hide this tab or perhaps the whole default screen When acrobat reader launches. I have two OneDrive folders on my laptop: one for my personal account and one for my university account. Whenever I open a PDF file from my university OneDrive or my laptop's local files, it opens completely fine, like normal. But when I try to open any PDF file from my personal OneDrive, it pops up with the message, "There was an error opening this document. Access denied." All the permissions for the files allow me to open them, and some of them are files I created. It has only started happening recently, despite having worked for a long time before this issue arose.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Acrobat, and I have signed out and back into my OneDrive, but nothing has worked.  If I move the files to my university OneDrive or local files, the file can be opened, it's only when it comes directly from my personal OneDrive. Hi everyone, so I am trying to print my .pdf file in color, but it only prints out in black & white, even though it's in color on the screen itself.I made the .PDF in word and then converted it to a .PDF .. Could it be some word settings?I can print out other .pdf files normally in color, so it shouldn't be the printer settings. Everything is up to date, driver etc.What should I do?

Hi all. I'm posting this in the hopes that it might help someone else out that may have the same symptom. Last week, my Adobe Reader stopped printing. Nothing I did produced any result. Not hitting the print icon. Not hitting CTRL+P. Not selecting "print" from the drop-down menu. There was no error message. No nothing. It was as if I hadn't clicked anything. I tried repairing the installation, no help. I've rebooted the computer many times over the last couple weeks. Here's what finally fixed it. On a whim, I went to Windows Explorer, right-clicked on the PDF file, and selected "print" from Explorers context menu. Adobe flashed open for a sec, and the document printed. Now, Adobe Reader prints as it always used to do. There must have been some little "glitch" or something going on.Problem solved. Hope this helps someone else.Artie

Update 21208 of Acrobat Reader breaks the app, it won’t start on Windows 7.It shows “This program couldn’t launch because the object api-ms-win-core-winrt-l1-1-0.dll is missing” or something along those lines....Please fix. Acrobat Reader 32-bit, Win 7 SP1 64-bit

Correct a "PDF missing component" error message after opening Quiockbooks Pro 2020 in Windows 11

As of today, I am unable to delete some editable text and/or images in familiar pdf files. I can put a bounding box around the item that want to delete and I can resize it, copy it, paste it and I can even move it off the page, but the delete button has no effect. This seems to only affect some of the editable items or images on the page and not others. I have been following through on some suggested fixes on Copilot but nothing has resolved it so far. I am guessing an update has caused some issues as this is not the only thing that I have encountered with Pro today. Other settings have changed, which I have had to reset. Would be good to get some prompt attention from Adobe on this. Using V.2026.001.21789

I downloaded Adobe Acrobat Reader -  the free version.  Everytime I open a pdf file, a pop up comes up asking me to subscribe to the free trail and to buy now for the Adobe Pro.  When I close out the pop up, it shuts down the Adobe Reader as well.  How can I just use the free version?   Thank you
