Acrobat DC Read Mode.

hi all,

Is it possible to make Adobe Acrobat DC view PDF documents in read mode by defaut with the solution being deployed to 45,000 + Pc's...

we have been given the option of a registry key

HKCU\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\AVGeneral\ dword bRHPSticky  (set value to 1)

but this does not work.

Hello Simontrobe,

We're sorry for the trouble you had with setting the Read Mode as default for all the PDF files, however, in Adobe Reader there is no possible way yo set the Read mode by default for all the documents opening in the program.

Viewing preferences needs to be set for the individual file using Acrobat application for Read mode. By default, Reader won't open the files in Reader mode.

Hi,

Can I check if anything has been put in place for setting a particular viewing mode via GPO across several computers or if this still has do be done manually per computer, per document
