Acrobat lags and freezes, Windows 11

It's now a couple of years or more that Adobe acrobat is lagging really bad, unusable. I've been trying all fixes and none of them was the solution.

Lags happens even only running the app, sometimes 10 seconds to 1 minute waiting for having the control again over the app. Happens again if i try to edit o if i want to show the pages.

Will the team ever fix this annoying issue?

Pleas provide a working solution. Thanks

Hello,

I hope you're doing well, and we apologize for the delayed response and the trouble.

Please ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: 24.005.20421 Optional update, Feb 24, 2025. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and check. For more information, see this: https://adobe.ly/3QwDLkW.

You can also try the suggestions from the Adobe article: https://adobe.ly/3XgW95e

I hope this helps.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

Hello AnandSri,

thanks for the reply, unfortunately what you're suggesting has been tried many times with no success.

Though i found another solution on Reddit which fixed the issue,  i just got rid of Sandbox Protections > Enable Protected Mode at Startup.
If anyone is interested it the reddit post, check it here:

Have a good day sir.
