I've searched and searched for what might be a simple answer.  I am learning to proofread using some pdfs, and would like to see the unprinted characters, as I can see in Word documents.  Is this possible?

Correct answer Test Screen Name

No. And most of them are simply not there. While word has a variety of kinds of space, tabs, paragraph, section and line endings, hard and soft hyphens, this info doesn't make it into the PDF. There are only the characters you see, placed at the positions you find them.
