Acrobat Reader DC crashes when attempting to search the document

Acrobat Support, please can you help me solve this problem?

I have version 15.020.20042 running on Windows 7, 64 bit.

*Every time* I search a document it crashes with this log:

I have attempted to repair it via the control panel: no change. I have even attempted to uninstall it and I get:

"The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation." I am logged on as an administrator.

Open Acrobat Reader DC> Edit (top left side)> Preferences> Search >Uncheck Fast Finding or Purge cache content.

and then try again and see if that helps.
