As per the description above, you are not able to open PDF file as getting error 57, Is that correct?

Please check for any pending updates of Acrobat Reader Help>Check for Updates. You may also repair the installation files of Reader from Help>Repair Installation files.

If the issue persists, please uninstall the Reader DC using the Adobe Acrobat Cleaner tool(for Windows OS only) Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs  Link: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html

Restart the computer and then download and install the Reader from Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution  Link: https://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

there was an error

open digital sign pdf document latest  adobe reader dc but error code {there was an error opening this document there was a problem reading this document(57)}

but this document opening adobe reader -xi when opened and digital sign verify ok ...whyyyy

If you need to open the file, there are a couple of easy methods that you can use:

1-If you have google chrome-Email the file to yourself as an attachment. Once you open the email, you can click on the file icon, and it will open it in the browser. If you download the attachment you will have the same problem, and it can not be opened. This method is only good if you want to read what is inside the file quickly.

2-This the best and permanent solution- Use other available programs. Right-click on the file - select:

Open with-Search the Microsoft store- There are several programs; some are paid, some are free, some may work, and some may not work. Select  PDF X: FREE PDF EDITOR & PDF READER and install it. By using this program, your problem will be solved. This program can be upgraded to the full version, which has other capabilities, but you have to pay for the full version.

Hello Houshang. I am running into an issue opening up PDF files (created with the SelectPDF .net library) in Adobe Reader (latest version). Do you happen to know why files generated from SelectPDF will not open correctly in Adobe reader, but will open fine in either Chrome browser or other PDF viewers (e.g. Foxit Reader ) ? The error displayed by Adobe is not very descriptive.
