I have version 23.001.20174 installed.  I have repaired the app & uninstalled & installed again.  I get same messages as shown in the 2-attachments.  I had all Avast Shieds disabled & then tried to open & get same 2-messages.  What can I try?

Hi @hgw53t

Sorry to hear about the trouble caused, and thanks for sharing the screenshot.

As per the Acrobat Reader system requirement, the minimum requirement is to have Windows-7 with SP1 https://helpx.adobe.com/reader/system-requirements.html

There could be some compatibility issues with the latest version of Acrobat Reader with Win-7 as it hasn't been tested on the older OS.

You may once

  • Run this cleaner tool to remove the existing installer and application’s file traces:

Download the Acrobat Reader installer from here:

  • Try creating a new Hidden Admin and launch Reader in that.

Thanks,
