I started having problems about a month ago and now I cannot open any PDF files. Every time I try to open a file I get this error message:

"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access the item"

I have removed the program and re-installed it, done a repair and still cannot get the program to work.  I need help.

Just had a Fatal Error pop up: "Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server"

Hi Delorese,

As shared above, that the error message has been changed after uninstalling and reinstalling the application.

You may refer to the solution provided in forum thread where similar problem has been addressed and see if that helps-

- Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server

Let us know if it doesn't work for you.
