Acrobat Reader, I just want to read, not edit.

These days, many documents are made as PDF files.

Because many companies make PDF files and not DOCX files,

I reluctantly use Acrobat Reader.

However, whenever I open a PDF file,

Acrobat Reader shows unnecessary toolbars (which are located on Top, Left and Right),

and shows a message that says "This file is in Read-Only mode bla bla".

------------------------------------------------------

When I want to edit a document, I don't directly edit the PDF file.

I rather convert the PDF to DOCX for easy editing.

------------------------------------------------------

All I want is just a wide document page,

NOT a so much small page packed with useless toolbars and messages (at least to me).

When I use Photoshop, it remembers the settings I set.

But Acrobat Reader resets the settings every time.

I know there are settings in the Settings, however, it's not user-friendly.

Are you familiar with Full Screen Mode found in the View menu? This will remove absolutely all of the interface and just leave the document. If you like this mode you can easily get to it via the keyboard shortcut Command/Control + L.

The keyboard shortcuts for zooming in and out also work in this mode

     Command/Control + +

     Command/Control + -

Scrolling with the mouse or trackpad also works in this mode.

Press the Escape key to get out of this mode.

Alternatively, you can press F8 and F9 to hide the toolbar and menu bars. The Tools panel on the right can also be hidden by pressing its edge.
