Acrobat Reader is planned to be installed on the server. Up to 10 users will be connected to this server. Question, Acrobat DC Reader will in this case be free software or paid

    Hi!

Thanks for sharing the details. Yes, to Distribute free Acrobat Reader DC software and the Acrobat Reader mobile app in volume, A Distribution License Agreement is required. For detailed information and to fill the License agreement, please see this article: https://www.adobe.com/acrobat/pdf-reader/volume-distribution.html?readstep

    Hope this helps.

    Hello Aлександрф,

As per the description above, you want to install Adobe Reader on a server, Is that correct?

Both Acrobat Reader DC and the Acrobat Reader mobile app are free and available for volume distribution. A Distribution License Agreement is required for:

    • Corporations and organizations that want to distribute Acrobat Reader or the Acrobat Reader mobile app on a company intranet site or local network.
    • Commercial vendors that want to bundle Acrobat Reader or the Acrobat Reader mobile app on physical media such as a CD or DVD, on OEM hardware such as computers and mobile devices, or with OEM hardware such as scanners.

Individuals interested in the software for personal use can download it free without applying for a Distribution License. Download Adobe Reader from Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

To apply for the free desktop license of Adobe Reader, use the URL http://www.adobe.com/go/rdr_apply_dist/

So, for your environment, Adobe Reader will be a free software, just you need to complete the Distribution form.

Feel free to update this discussion for any further assistance.

    Thanks,

    Anand Sri.

    Greetings!

Can you please help unerstand whether we can install Adobe Reader DC on a couple corporate servers? It will only be used by our employees, we will not distribute it. The mechanics behind this would be like this:
    1. There are two servers with Windows Server installed on them. They are only accessible within our private network

    2. We also have a document workfow software installed on that same very servers

    3. Our employees will be working with that software from their own laptop and Adobe Acrobat DC will only be used when they need to open a pdf document

We only install Adobe Reader DC on that two servers and will not install it on user laptops. There will be something like 100 people working with this

Do we need a license for this?
