Hi Starwoman,

Sorry, didn't get your query correctly. What do you mean by side panel for recent list? Are you referring to "Home" tab under Adobe Reader desktop application? The one shown in the screenshot below-

For better understanding, help us with the screenshot of the same- https://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-7043#jive_content_id_How_do_I_attach_a_screenshot

If your application isn't displaying correctly, then you can try the following suggestion-

1- Reboot Acrobat, Reboot your computer

2- Check if you have got the Adobe Reader up-to-date or not. If not, then Open Reader>Help>Check for update.

Ok... but now I have another problem... can’t seem to update to latest adobe version... I’m on windows 7 OS and when I try to update all I get is a blank window
