I am tyring to open a pdf saved to my hard drive as had to reboot my computer. when clicking pdf it says adobe acrobat cannot open file because it is either not a supported file or because the file is damaged. I have noticed that the size of the file is 0. Is this fixable as I need the document. It was original scanned. I don't have original douments as they were sent off in the post

Hello Sarah!

I hope you're doing well, and we apologize for the delayed response and the trouble.

As our product community expert correctly mentioned, a file size of 0 bytes indicates that the file is corrupt or damaged. If you try to open it in Acrobat Reader, you will likely encounter an error similar to the one you shared.

The best solution is to obtain the file again from the owner or have it re-created. For future reference, you can refer to this article: Can't open a PDF.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

No. A zero-bytes file is completely empty. Something went wrong in the creation of the file. You need to ask for it again, or to create it again.
