Adobe Acrobat Crashes when trying to mark text

My Adobe Acrobat Reader crashes every time I try to mark text and makes it impossible to edit pdf:s. I have tried to download the latest update as well as tried to repair the program, but none of these has helped. At this point I don't know what to do. Any ideas?
