adobe acrobat no longer works

I can no longer open Adobe Acrobat. It worked yesterday, but today when I downloaded an adobe document I couldn't open it.It said "ucrtbase.terminate could not be located in dynamiclink library" which I can't begin to understand.Tried downloading Adobe again and couldn't do so.How can I fix this?

    Hi lorrainef72680444,

    Could you please try rebooting the computer, then try launching Acrobat and see if that works?

    Please confirm the version of Adobe Acrobat running on the machine.

    To check the version of Acrobat, launch Acrobat>navigate to Help menu>select About Adobe Acrobat

    The operating system installed on the machine.
